Be shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves.

There are some false prophets and teachers out there trying to harden your hearts.

Allow a minister to retort

“No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Matthew 24:26

I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. Matthew 10:16

If no one knows the day or the hour aren’t we preparing for a false storm while not keeping a watchful eye on the real storm?

Did he not say to prepare we must love one another? Is it not said keep your friends close and your enemies closer? If we are fighting amongst each other then we have not prepared and the wolves are preparing for a feast.

For the sheep are not as cunning as the wolves. The wolves are the true enemy.

Shrewd – marked by clever discerning awareness and hardheaded (be hardheaded to follow God‘s commandments and the gospel of Jesus you cannot understand one without the other and this was laid down to protect you from it being twisted and used against you as it is being used against you now.)

doves are often used as a symbol of peace and love.

³⁴ Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. ³⁵ One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: ³⁶“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

³⁷ Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’^{[c] 38} This is the first and greatest commandment. ³⁹ And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’^{[d] 40} All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

So we must be observant and know our enemy and to do that we must not let our hearts be hardened so that we are not blinded by fury and confusion. We must be as innocent as doves approaching with understanding and pureness of heart for an angry heart will never see.

Example:

Bar fight breaks out starts with two people fury ends up with all people fighting without any personal interests just the interests of the original two who started the conflict.

Police show up and have to find out what happened like doves outside the conflict.

If you were truly following God’s plan we would not be in our position today but we ministers have risen to this task to aid in pointing out the enemy. That enemy is fear hate and confusion. That enemy is propaganda.
